Who we are
The controller for this site is Digital Skill Works Ltd trading as 12 Panes. Contact: hello@twelvepanes.com.

What this site does
12 Panes publishes a method site (framework, Counsel, Wave 0, offerings, personas survey, blog). The personas questionnaire runs in your browser only; answers are not sent to a server unless you choose to email them.
What data we process
- Email you send us — if you contact hello@twelvepanes.com, we process the content of that correspondence to reply and, if relevant, discuss work.
- Hosting logs — the site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may process technical data (such as IP address, user agent, and request metadata) to operate the CDN, security, and reliability. See Netlify’s own notices for details.
- Cookies — essential cookies required for hosting and site delivery may be set by the host. There is no third-party analytics on this site today (no Google Analytics, Plausible, or similar in the current build). Optional cookies stay off unless you enable them in the cookie banner.
- Local storage — cookie preference choices are stored in your browser (localStorage key
twelvepanes-cookie-consent). Persona results may use the query string or local state only in your browser.
Lawful bases (UK GDPR)
Where UK GDPR applies, we typically rely on: legitimate interests (running and securing a public information site); consent (optional cookies if introduced later); and contract or pre-contract steps if you ask us to discuss paid work.
Retention
Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to complete the conversation and any related engagement, then deleted or archived under ordinary business practice. Hosting logs follow the host’s retention. Cookie preferences remain in your browser until you clear site data.
Transfers
Hosting may involve processing outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the host’s published transfer mechanisms. Ask us if you need more detail for a specific engagement.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Contact hello@twelvepanes.com. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Children
This site is aimed at organisational decision-makers. It is not directed at children.
Updates
We may update this notice when the stack or practices change (for example if analytics are added). The “last updated” date below will change when we do.
